Provide Technical support to engineers with respect to electronic instrumentation and process control including information gathering, data accumulation, basic processing and reporting.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for maintenance and repairs of all electrical and instrumentation equipment according to planned maintenance schedules
- Calibration of applicable equipment
- Maintaining and updating of electrical drawings.
- Ensure that work standards are met according to quality, quantity and due dates.
- Conduct basic processing and reporting.
- Independently gather information and data accumulation.
- Ensure that work standards are met according to quality, quantity and due dates.
- Apply safety in all practices, specifically project planning and execution.
- Manage own work planning and delivery according to targets.
- Apply and comply with all legal and company standards, procedures and methods.
- Working relationships with customers (internal and external).
- Share key information and ideas or learning with customers and teams.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with managers and peers.
- Make suggestions to optimize equipment, systems and processes.
Formal Education
National Diploma Engineering
BTech/ Advanced Diploma
Work Experience
National Diploma with 4 year’s relevant experience or B.Tech with 3 year’s relevant experience to be appointed as Technician II
National Diploma with 7 year’s relevant experience or B.Tech with 6 year’s relevant experience to be appointed as Senior Technician
Specific Experience Required
- Clear understanding of electrical/instrument drawings
- Installation, testing and commissioning of instrumentation/electrical equipment
- Experience in the calibration of equipment
- Knowledge and clear understanding electrical instruments
- Knowledge of switchgear and transformers
- Knowledge of configuration and setting up of automation systems (PLC’s – Siemens/Allen Bradley/Wago)
Additional Requirements (Wish)
- Sound background knowledge of instrumentation
- Electrical trade test
- Wireman’s License
