Senior Equipment Operator On-site NRS Contract IITA/P&C/NRS2026-022 Ibadan, Oyo, Nigeria Ibadan, Oyo, Nigeria Description The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigerian nationals for the positions below at the Institute's Headquarters in Ibadan. Position: Senior Equipment Operator Contract: 3-years renewable contract Location: Ibadan Closing Date: 29 June 2026 DUTIES: Carry out mechanical repairs, services and maintenance of Diesel Generators and Equipment. Carry out maintenance and repair of Ring main unit Carry out maintenance and repair of H.T. and L.T. circuit breakers. Perform Operation of all equipment and apparatus in powerhouse. Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment. Assist in general maintenance and services of all equipment in powerhouse. Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor. Requirements QUALIFICATION: OND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field with a minimum of four (4) years' experience performing a similar role in a well-structured. Trade Test 1, 2, with any other certifications is an added advantage. COMPETENCIES: The ideal candidate must have: Sound technical problem-solving skills. Strong Technical maintenance and troubleshooting skills. High level of attention to detail and accuracy in task execution.
